Four Tet releases his new album ahead of schedule.
Last month, Four Tet revealed plans to release a new album entitled Morning/Evening via his own Text label. The album consists of two tracks, ‘Morning Side’ and ‘Evening Side’, and runs 40 minutes in length.
The album was originally slated to arrive in July, however Four Tet has released the album early “to celebrate the summer solstice”. Both sides of the album were uploaded to Bandcamp and you can stream them in full below.
Morning/Evening was written between August 2014 and February 2015. According to the album’s description, it was “created on a laptop computer using the Ableton Live software to control and mix VST synthesizers and manipulations of found audio recordings.”
Physical copies of the album will be available on 10 July.
