Maybe Jesus really does love UK garage.
The church of St John at Hackney has seen some pretty special performances in the past couple of years, from Arca and Laurel Halo to Demdike Stare and Ben Frost – but it’s never witnessed anything quite like this.
On Saturday, August 22, the people behind Found Festivals are putting on a Heritage Day & Night party with five DJs exploring the roots of UK garage. Magpie-like selector Oneman, NYC house royalty Victor Simonelli, Foundation aka UKG originals Scott Garcia and Sticky, Benny Ill of dubstep originators Horsepower Productions and Nexx Vencha will perform throughout the day, hosted by MC Creed.
The event in the church runs from 1pm to 11pm, and after that the party moves down to the road to Oslo where more DJs will take the crowd through the night. Tickets start at £12 for the daytime show – snap them up and get more information from RA and Facebook.
