Featuring production from Four Tet, Gilles Peterson and more.
Omar Souleyman will release his new album later this month through Modeselektor’s Monkeytown Records. Bahdeni Nami is the follow up to 2013’s amazing Wenu Wenu LP. We’ve already heard the Four Tet-produced title track, and now the album is available to stream in full.
Along with Four Tet, the album features production from Gilles Peterson, Modeselektor and longtime Souleyman collaborator Sa’id. Bahdeni Nami also includes a remix from Dutch hero Legowelt.
The album was recorded in Istanbul, where Souleyman was joined by poet Ahmad Alsamer, sax player Khaled Youssef and keyboardist Rizan Said.
Bahdeni Nami will be released on July 24 via Monkeytown Records. Stream it in full below.
