Brubaker’s Phillip Glass interpretations get the remix treatment.
Pianist Bruce Brubaker has been playing the music of Phillip Glass for more than 20 years. Earlier this year, Brubaker released an album of Glass interpretations titled Glass Piano, issued by Parisian imprint InFiné Music.
InFiné Music have announced a remix EP for Glass Piano, inviting six artists to “bring their own consciousness” to the project. “InFiné’s youngest protégé” Julian Earle kicks off the package with fellow newcomer Biblo also providing a version. They are joined by four veteran producers: Plaid, Akufen, John Beltran and Francesco Tristano (who studied under Brubaker at the Julliard School in New York; the two still play together on occasion).
InFiné Music will release Glass Piano Versions on September 10th. Hear Plaid’s remix below. [via RA]
