As the Drake and Meek Mill beef subsides, the character at the centre of the feud steps forward.
Quentin Miller was alleged to have ghostwritten Drizzy’s guest verse on Meek Mill’s track ‘R.I.C.O.’, with Meek tweeting: “He ain’t even write that verse on my album and if I would knew I woulda took it off my album… I don’t trick my fans!”
Though he has writing credits on If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, Miller denied being Drake’s ghostwriter, saying Drake’s album was mostly complete when he was asked to get involved. At the time he was a virtual unknown, he said: “I was just another guy working a job he hated with a passion for music…. And somehow found myself on the phone with one of my idols. I told him I worked in a bakery and his exact words were ‘Fuck that, your destined for greatness.'”
With the beef dying down, he’s chosen the right moment to unveil a brand new mixtape, hooking up with WDNG Crshrs cohort TheCoolisMac and producer Cardo for CrshrsGotWings. Along with Miller and Mac, the 10-track mixtape features Jay Dot Rain – stream it in full below.
