It follows the cancellation of Australian dates earlier this month.
Bad news if you were hoping to catch Tyler, The Creator this weekend – as he notes on Twitter, his appearances have been cancelled due to the vague reason of “circumstances”.
The artist had been due to appear at the Reading and Leeds festivals this weekend, as well as Belfast Academy on August 25 and Dublin Academy on August 26.
Tyler’s scheduled Australian tour was also cancelled earlier this month, following his claim that he had been banned from the country following a backlash by feminist groups.
Update: Tyler’s manager Christian Clancy says in a Tumblr post that he is banned from the UK for three to five years, “per a letter from the secretary of state for the home department of the united kingdom,” for Bastard and Goblin lyrical content that “encourages violence and intolerance of homosexuality” and “fosters hatred with views thats seek to provoke others to terrorist acts.”
