On Friday October 9, NYC’s Daywalkers were vampires for a night.
At New York’s Terminal 5, BBQ Films recreated Blade‘s blood rave. You remember, the scene that convinced a generation of mopey metal heads that electronic music wasn’t so bad after all.
Music was provided by The Crystal Method, Pictureplane, A Place Both Wonderful and Strange, DJ Choyce Hacks and of course, there was dialogue chopped from Blade peppered liberally throughout.
As The Crystal Method teased out a deeply nostalgic set, the crowd was drenched in blood – just like in the movie. Now maybe we can get Netflix to fund a proper Blade TV series? Pretty please?
