If you’re a grime fan, you’ve probably heard Sh?m’s handiwork, even if you don’t know it. He engineers at West London’s Samurai Sound Studios (AJ Tracey and others are regulars there), and produced Stormzy, D Double E and co’s recent SB TV cipher. Earlier this year he released his debut EP Symphonies of Love & Destruction, hitting the sweet spot between 808-driven road rap beats and raw grime instrumentals. Oh, and you think you look casual making beats? Sh£m doesn’t sit down or even take his jacket off.
