Mr. Oizo’s ‘Flat Beat’ is part of dance music’s collective cultural fabric, something that’s down in no small part to Flat Eric.

As part of Red Bull Music Academy’s Paris Now! series of films, Mr. Oizo – aka Quentin Dupieux – has directed an awkward comedy short called Being Eric, featuring Flat Eric and Steve Little from Eastbound & Down.

Also featuring music from Dupieux, it manages to be even more bizarre than the classic video for ‘Flat Beat’, delivering an absurdist experience that’s half talent show, half Michael Keaton in Birdman.
