The 22-year-old rapper honored by the city after his huge year.
Every year, Chicago Magazine honors a few Chicago natives with the title of Chicagoan of the Year and today they’ve revealed that the title will go to Chance The Rapper. Looking back at the year he’s had it’s not exactly a big surprise. He recently partnered with the Chicago Public Library for an after-school open mic for students, has consistently released compelling material all year and committed himself to helping his hometown — all at 22, all while supporting a child and partner.
Head to Chicago Magazine’s site to read their new profile before it’s printed in the December issue and revisit our review of his great mixtape with Lil B.
