Lil’ Kim says she is working on a new album for release in 2016.
The new record would be the rap veteran’s first release since her Hard Core 2k14 mixtape in 2014 and her first studio album since 2005’s The Naked Truth.
“I’m working on a new album for next year. I put up a post not too long ago, I was at my old record label. So maybe… hint, hint,” Kim told Hot 97 in an interview (below), as All Hip Hop reports.
We’re not holding our breath or anything, but weirder things have happened (you all noticed that low-key release Compton this year, right?). In the meantime, Kim is planning to head out on tour, potentially as part of Puff Daddy’s rumoured Bad Boy Family tour in 2016.
“I got a couple of tours I’m going to be a part of, so just watch and wait,” said Kim.
Last year it was reported that Kim owed almost $127,000 in taxes and was sued by her former law firm.
