A paltry 15-second teaser has emerged.

David Bowie is one of the only artists who can get away with this sort of dripfeed promotion, so we’ll have to deal with it. It’s a new single, it’s called ‘Lazarus’, and it’s out on December 17.

The track comes from his forthcoming album ★, or Blackstar, due out January 8, and follows the 10-minute title track – also the theme music for new heist drama The Last Panthers.

Update: The cast of Lazarus, the forthcoming stage production that Bowie co-wrote, will perform the song on Late Show with Stephen Colbert on December 17.
