The Bug brought some very special friends to last weekend’s LA show.
On Friday December 11, Ninja Tune celebrated their 25th anniversary with a show like no other at the Masonic Lodge in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Forever Cemetery. William Basinski opened the evening with a glistening performance of his recent album Cascade (one of our favorite albums of the year) setting the audience up for the main event.
The Bug was joined by Grouper and drone metal legend Dylan Carlson of Earth and performed in fog so thick you could barely see your hand in front of your face. The trio built a drone of titanic strength, drawing on their separate skills to emerge with something singular and unique.
