M. Geddes Gengras joins Mexico City-based label Umor Rex in 2016.

After dropping two compilations of modular synth loveliness through the label in 2013, next month the American electronic explorer will release a tape of extended jams created with a new modular patch, which he describes as sounding like “two pairs of marimba mallets attached to a pair of dice.”

Two Variations is out on January 8, and you can stream an entire 35-minute side of the tape right below, via JunoPlus. The video underneath contains more snippets from the release.
