A key member of Atlanta’s Awful Records collective, Abra is doing things her own way.

Last year’s Rose was a triumphant debut full-length, blending Abra’s interest in dark, lo-fi 80s pop with a hearty slice of lovers rock (we hear you, Sade) and syrupy R&B to emerge with something surprising and original.

FACT TV had the opportunity to spend three days filming with Abra on a recent visit to London, which has a very special place in her heart. The Atlanta-based artist actually spent some of her formative years living in Tooting Broadway, where she went to primary school.

We also followed the self-styled Darkwave Duchess to a Viper Magazine photo shoot, took a boat trip with her down the Thames (as you do), and caught her live performance at Village Underground with Father and Keith Charles SpaceBar.
