The rapper will be honored by his hometown next month.
Kendrick Lamar will be honored with the key to the city of Compton next month, as HipHopDX point out. The news came from Compton Mayor Aja Brown who announced the news on Twitter today in a ceremony to be held on February 13. Lamar responded saying, ” I appreciate that. HUBLUV”.

The ceremony is only two days before this year’s Grammy’s for which Lamar is nominated in 11 categories.
