The scribbles keep appearing.
Kanye West’s next album, set for release on February 11, had its name changed to Waves this week. The reveal of the new name also came with hints at album collaborators, in the shape of signatures scribbled on a notepad.
Last night, a bunch more names made their way onto the page, including Outkast’s André 3000, 2 Chainz, Kid Cudi, Puff Daddy, gospel musician Kirk Franklin (so it was going to be a gospel album then), Cyhi The Prince, house duo DJ Dodger Stadium aka DJDS, Anthony Kilhoffer, and A$AP Mob’s Young Lord. They join Earl Sweatshirt, A$AP Rocky, The-Dream, Doug E. Fresh, and Swizz Beatz among others.
How this will play out – featurings, writing or production credits, something else entirely – is still to be revealed.
Yesterday, news emerged that Kanye will appear on Saturday Night Live on February 13.
