Sonic The Hedgehog, Sega’s posterboy and the only 90s video game mascot able to compete with Nintendo’s Mario, is coming to the silver screen.
Hajime Satomi, CEO of the Sonic’s parent company Sega Sammy Holdings, confirmed the plan today in an interview with World Folio. Satomi says the company is working with Sony Pictures to bring a hybrid live-action/animated Sonic film to theaters in 2018. Yes, that makes us nervous too.
