Kurupt FM made some waves on the radio last night.
Brentford’s premier fake pirate station were invited to return to Radio 1 and perform as part of their Live Lounge series, but clearly didn’t pay too much attention to the whole ‘live’ thing.
As well as taking in versions of So Solid Crew’s ‘Oh No’ and Stormzy’s ‘Shut Up’, MC Grindah, DJ Beats et al threw listeners (and host Clara Amfo) into a spin as they reeled off profanities like, “Pussy ‘oles!” and “I’ll leave your gyal dem moist and soggy!”
Amfo was forced to apologise if listeners were “offended by anything in the last five or six minutes,” but judging by this tweet was still in on the joke:
