Yesterday, New York Supreme Court Justice Shirley Kornreich ruled against singer Kesha in a civil lawsuit that sought to release her from a contract with producer Dr. Luke, whom Kesha alleges abused her during a decade-long professional relationship.
Following the decision, fellow artists from around the world, including Grimes, Lorde, Best Coast, and Lady Gaga, spoke out in support of Kesha and commanded her bravery to fight the abuse she has suffered.

the fact that kesha has to choose to either freely make music or avoid the person who abused her is outrageous and degrading #freekesha
