Brazilian architect Guto Requena unveils his latest creation.
The Year is a new nightclub opening in São Paulo, Brazil that has one of the most unique light set-ups we’ve come across. The dancefloor is enclosed by an LED cage designed by architect Guto Requena that reacts based on the size and energy of the crowd. The secret to it is a censor that sits at the top of the cage that translates movements and temperature into different lightning effects.
“It’s a dance floor that reacts to the guests’ stimulation, working as an extension of their own bodies,” Requena explains. You can watch a demo of the floor (albeit without any people on it) below. [via The Spaces]
