Ennio Morricone has won the Oscar for Best Score for his work on Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight. This is sixth nomination and first win, but he was given an Honorary Academy Award for his accomplishments in 2007. The score, which was originally composed for equally snowy film The Thing, was Morricone’s first time contributing to a Tarantino film, but the two will work together again.
