The saga continues.
ATP have released a statement addressing rumours that next month’s festival weekenders have been cancelled.
“For clarity, and to reassure customers who have purchased tickets or travel for the upcoming festivals, these events will go ahead as scheduled: at Pontins Prestatyn, on 15th-17th April & 22nd-24th April.
“We would like to apologise for our silence today, and for not getting back to all of your questions individually. We have been working with Pontins Management to release a full statement confirming this within the next 24 hours,” read last night’s (March 1) Facebook post.
However, Pontins Prestatyn are still selling standard family breaks on its website, which is was what sparked off initial concerns for some of the above dates.
A Pontins booking agent yesterday told Billboard that there was the possibility of the holiday site becoming a shared occupancy should the situation become resolved, adding that because they were still waiting for payment from ATP, they could not “officially confirm” either event.
Yesterday, festival curator Stewart Lee told The Quietus yesterday that he was as much in the dark as everybody else.
