One of the most promising new rappers announces his first release of 2016.
Before Boogie delivered The Reach, one of our favorite albums of last year, the Long Beach rapper received attention with Thirst 48 in 2014. This year he’ll revisit that debut with, Thirst 48 Pt. 2, a new mixtape he’s shared two tracks from today.
There’s the no-prisoners attack of ‘Out My Way (Bitter Raps 2)’, a sequel to his break-out track, but it’s even more complex when paired with a brighter, second track. The bleakness is tempered by ‘Catching Feelings’, a track marked by spacey production and a sweet vocal hook from Tink. They’re both different, equally impressive singles and paired with his recent record deal with Interscope, it’s just another reminder that Boogie is one to watch out for this year.
