People have a lot of time on their hands.
The internet is a hellscape for people who want to rap but probably cannot or should not. Enter J Cyrus, a fellow who is using his ability to do impressions of rappers like Kendrick Lamar, Drake and Future, among other, to potentially go viral by rapping like them as if they have ordinary jobs. Conceptually, this is not the worst thing to happen to white people trying to cash in on rap music via YouTube. It’s not the whitewashed versions of ‘Work’ and ‘Formation’ or a frat bro rendition of ‘No Hands’. (Seriously, who was like: “Yeah, bro! That would be sick!” The only thing about it that’s sick is my stomach after sitting through a few bars.)
But I’ll give this man his props. Drake as a school principal is probably his funniest and we all know that Drizzy has a ton of experience with high school life. Watch the video below.
