The Paris venue reveals concert programme for November.

The Bataclan in Paris will reopen this November, with a gig headlined by Pete Doherty one of the first to take place since last year’s devastating terrorist attacks. 89 people were killed in the attack on November 13, which took place during an Eagles of Death Metal show.

In a Facebook post, the venue said: “It consists of rehabilitation of all the infrastructure and facilities. We’re going to try to preserve its warmth and friendliness. We want to maintain its spirit”.

The exact reopening date has not been been announced, but Doherty will be followed by gigs featuring Youssou N’dour, Nada Surf and Mz across November and December.

Eagles of Death Metal frontman Jesse Hughes last month controversially accused Bataclan staff of a security conspiracy on the night of Paris attacks. The venue fiercely denied his remarks, calling them “defamatory.”
