Bob Dylan is getting his own expanded universe.

Amazon’s latest venture into original programming is a drama series inspired by the music of Bob Dylan, Variety reports.

The hour-long drama series will be named after his 1997 album Time Out of Mind. Details are still being finalised, but it’s expected to feature characters and themes from his songs that end up “colliding in some way.”

Lionsgate TV and writer-director Josh Wakely have reportedly secured the rights to Dylan’s song catalogue for the series, which covers over 50 years of material.

Time Out of Mind isn’t the first music-based TV project for Wakely. The Australian filmmaker recently made a deal to include the music of The Beatles in a Netflix show for children called Beat Bugs, which launches in summer with covers by Sia, The Shins and James Corden. Amazon has also been reported to be developing a series based on the memoirs of Grateful Dead roadie Steve Parish.

In addition to Time Out of Mind, Dylan has inspired another unlikely project. Earlier this week it was reported that Battleship director Peter Berg was teaming up with Rihanna on an “unfiltered look” at the singer’s life based on D.A. Pennebaker’s 1967 Dylan documentary, Dont Look Back.
