“When he asked us to jump on the record we didn’t blink,” says El-P.

After announcing his new album last week, DJ Shadow has released ‘Nobody Speak’, a new song featuring Run The Jewels. The song, he explained, was made specifically for the duo of El-P and Killer Mike and no substitute would do.

“In my mind, it was them or no one,” he says in the press release. “Fortunately, they agreed, and they took the track to a place I could never get to on my own. That’s the definition of a rewarding collaboration.”

It wasn’t a tough decision for the rappers. According to El-P, they didn’t even think twice once they got the offer.

“Shadow is a legend and a friend. When he makes music he often changes music forever,” he said in a statement.

In addition to appearing on The Mountain Will Fall, a download of the song will be included with the duo’s Record Store Day exclusive VR platform they’ve dubbed “VRTJ”.

DJ Shadow has also announced a trio of Beats 1 shows this year, the first of which will be in June close to the June 24 release of The Mountain Will Fall.
