FACT rapper to watch emeritus Kodak Black has been arrested again.
Yesterday afternoon, DJ Akademiks posted on Twitter that South Florida rapper Kodak Black had been arrested. The video he shared features bystander-shot footage, including on-lookers yelling out Kodak’s nickname Project Baby.
It has been confirmed via a Broward County arrest database that Kodak, né Dieuson Octave, was taken into custody for felony possession of a weapon, seven traffic violations and possession of marijuana, possibly synthetic (i.e.: K2), which set his bail for $100. There is no confirmation as to whether or not he’s been bailed out yet.
Last October the 18-year-old rapper was arrested on a warrant, reportedly for robbery, kidnapping and assault, while traveling to New York for the CMJ Music Marathon, where he was touted as one of the artists to watch. Kodak was arrested for the first time in middle school for carjacking and has since done a number of stints in juvenile detention centers.
At the end of last year, he released an appropriately-titled mixtape called Institution, which dealt with experiences in and out of the corrections system.
We will update the story as information becomes available.
