The pop singer turns controversy into merch sales.

Beyoncé’s Formation Tour begins today and the singer has responded to protests with a T-shirt that simply says “Boycott Beyoncé”.

Miami, where the tour kicks off, was a hotbed of controversy after police unions threatened to boycott the singer’s show in response to the perceived “anti-police” message of her Super Bowl halftime performance. The City of Miami Police Department are, in fact, working the concert tonight and probably feel a little trolled by Beyoncé.
