Get the sound of ‘90s East Coast hip-hop with Native Instruments’ latest collection.
Hip-hop icon Havoc has curated a sample pack for Native Instruments’ Maschine hardware that traces his career through instruments and drum kits from his extensive library.
Last seen on the production credits for Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo, Havoc rose to prominence in the ‘90s as one half of NYC duo Mobb Deep, going on to produce tracks for Nas, The Notorious B.I.G. and Method Man among others.
According to Native Instruments, the Queensbridge Story expansion pack includes sounds covering two decades of hip-hop production, and also includes presets for the company’s Massive synthesizer to create basslines.
The pack is available now for $49/£44 from the Native Instruments website, where you can listen to audio samples. A compact version of the expansion is also available for the company’s iMaschine 2 app.
