The Kanye collaborator’s new mixtape drops tomorrow.

Chance the Rapper has described his highly anticipated new mixtape Chance 3 as “very dancey”, and promised that the record is “way better than Surf”, his last release with Donnie Trumpet.

Chance 3 arrives tomorrow, three years after his breakout Acid Rap tape. Fans were predicting a gospel feel to the record, following his performance of ‘Blessings’ with a gospel choir on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon earlier this month and his appearance on Kanye West’s ‘Ultralight Beam’.

However, Chance tells Complex: “This stuff is way better than Surf. I’ll say that on record. Donnie [Trumpet] is awesome, and the project was awesome, but this is all of us focusing our efforts into some very hip-hop and very dance-y shit, and it feels good. So I’m excited about that.”

During the interview, he also discusses how “awesome” it would be if Obama were Chicago mayor. Having met President Obama when he “was really young,” he declared “there are a lot of people that need him in Chicago and the city, overall, needs it.”

Chance 3 is Chance The Rapper’s third album, after kicking things off in 2013 with the now career-defining release Acid Rap. He followed this up with Surf in 2015, an album by the band Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment of which he is a member.
