The electronic music of Düsseldorff in the ’70s and ’80s is catalogued in a new comp.
Grönland is set to release Electri_city 2, a new comp collecting some of the influential music from Düsseldorff including tracks from Neu!, Die Krupps and more. It comes in conjunction with the reissue of Die Krupps member Rudi Esch’s book Elecri_city: The Electronic Music of Düsseldorff, which will now be in English for the first time.
The comp will be released vinyl with a deluxe edition featuring a handful of extra tracks on CD. Electri_city, the original compilation – which was released in tandem with Esch’s book and has long been out of print – will also be reissued in a deluxe bundle with the brand new follow-up.
Electri_city 2 is out August 12 via Grönland.
