This is the first show for the souped-up new venue, which opens its doors again after four months.
Camden’s Jazz Café relaunches tonight with a showcase from forward-thinking London jazz label 22a.
Experimental four-piece Ruby Rushton and beatmaker Reginald Omas Mamode IV will be stepping in to perform live, with IG South London newcomer Al Dobson Jr, along with Tenderlonius and Jeen Bassa, taking on DJ duties. IG Culture will appear as a special guest. You can pick up tickets from the Jazz Café website.
This show is one of the first to take place at the legendary arts space following its refurbishment by the team behind London venues XOYO, The Nest and Phonox. Artists set to appear over the next few months include Darkstar, Kutmah, Dâm-Funk, Egyptian Lover, Breakbot, and more.
On June 3, FACT will host a gig with electronic artist Pantha Du Prince, aka Henrik Weber, hot on the heels of his new analogue-led album The Triad. The live show will feature a collaboration between Weber and his long-term friend Scott Mou (half of the duo Jane, with Panda Bear) along with Norwegian drummer and composer Bendik Hovik Kjeldsberg.
