“A perfect place for a band like Prophets of Rage to cause a ruckus”.

Prophets of Rage will protest Donald Trump at next month’s Republican National Convention in Cleveland.

The “elite task force of revolutionary musicians,” who made their live debut on Tuesday (May 31), is made up of RATM’s Tom Morello, Tim Commerford, and Brad Wilk alongside Cypress Hill rapper B Real and Public Enemy’s Chuck D and DJ Lord.

Speaking to Bloomberg Politics earlier in the week, RATM guitarist Tom Morello said it will be a “perfect place for a band like Prophets of Rage to cause a ruckus” and that they will be there “on the streets, in the field.”

He added that “they have a venue” and that “there may be venues that will be spontaneous venues, it’s hard to say. This is the kind of thing you don’t broadcast to the local authorities prior to arrival.”

At Tuesday’s show the group dedicated a track to Trump and also played a mash-up of Beastie Boys’ ‘No Sleep Til Brooklyn’ and Public Enemy’s ‘Fight The Power’.
