Rick the Ruler will bring ‘La Di Da Di’ to Germany.

Slick Rick will perform at Cologne festival Out4FAME on July 31 and has announced he’ll reveal more European tour dates soon. It will be his first time in two decades to perform in Europe and comes on the heals of 23-year battle with the United States Department of Homeland Security and Immigration.

Back in April, Rick was granted dual citizenship in American and the UK after being denied a U.S. passport for serving time for an attempted murder charge in 1991. Rick had been living in Bronx since he was 11 years old, coming over from London before he was a teen.

“I am honored to have been invited to perform at the Out4FAME festival,” he said in a press release. “And to be sharing a stage with my [MC] brothers, at one the most highly-regarded hip-hop festivals outside of the United States will be unforgettable. I am looking forward to checking out the German culture, and performing my German fans. I will also be confirming more foreign dates in the very near future.”
