The Vinyl Factory documents the trailblazing Italian DJ in Cosmic Revolution.
This week sees the release of cosmic disco pioneer Daniele Baldelli’s Volcana Extravaganza EP through The Vinyl Factory, which features three tracks inspired by his time at the Volcano Extravaganza festival on the Sicilian Island of Stromboli last year.
To mark the release, The Vinyl Factory has produced a mini-doc on the veteran DJ, who made his name mixing eclectic records filled with spacey synths and heavy tribal drums to the young people of Northern Italy’s coastal towns in the 1970s and went on to be an inspiration to Todd Terje and DJ Harvey.
Volcano Extravaganza is released on July 1, and includes a Baldelli remix of ‘Shuttlecock’ by Manuel Göttsching’s krautrock outfit Ashra. Pre-order it here.
