Because art is fun.
The below work of art by Cape Town illustrator Adam Carnegie sees a sprawling festival vista recreated in the style of ‘90s spot-the-stripey-jumpered-male book series Where’s Waldo. It’s mostly made up of standard festival fare like butt-naked bros and precarious portaloos. But look hard enough and you’ll be able to spot a host of music stars, living and dead.
Buried within the throng are Deadmau5, Gorillaz, Major Lazer, Disclosure and David Bowie. You’ll also see Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain and Amy Winehouse walking down the stairway to heaven.
Daft Punk are in there too but make sure you really squint for that one (full disclosure: we’ve yet to find them). Check out the amazing illustration below – with a couple of close-ups added for maximum effect – and wait for that eureka! moment. Or find the full image here.
Just remember art = mindfulness. If it works for Justin Bieber…
