Justin Vernon, forever ago.

Justin Vernon, aka Bon Iver, may have made his first splash with an intimate solo record, but his ability to perform with ensembles is nearly unmatched. (Hello, GAYNGS, Volcano Choir and, well, Bon Iver, as we know it now.)

This unearthed video of his high school jam band Mount Vernon (lol) is good evidence of the foundation he built to lead a huge band. Unsurprisingly, his origins are Phish-y. I mean, check out that flute at the 22:03 mark – it is super hippie-dippy.
