Lil Kim has been tipped as a contestant for the next series of Celebrity Big Brother and has been offered one of the highest fees ever paid, reports The Daily Star.

Hip-hop’s self-styled ‘Queen Bee’ and rap provocateur – who is currently working on a new album to be released this year – is expected to get paid more than £500,000 for the show.

“Producers are thrilled they’ve finally got her. It’s taken a lot of cash but they are confident she will be worth it,” said an insider.

“This will be Kim’s chance to set the record straight and have her say on all the rumours. Bosses are hoping she will be outspoken inside the house and make it an explosive series.”

Rumours are also flying that grime MC Big Narstie and notorious grime hater Azealia Banks could be thrown in the house together. Banks slammed the UK rap scene back in May, calling it “a disgrace to rap culture in general,” which prompted a stream of angry responses from MCs like Big Narstie. That beef would be highly watchable viewing.

Lil Kim should know a thing or two about performing for the camera, having appeared on both The Apprentice and Dancing With The Stars in the US, and let’s hope Big Narstie serves up some of that “homegrown English pure potatoes” wit. Housemates will not be revealed until opening night.
