The National return to the show and bring a friend along for Bob’s brand of bathroom humor.

The animated series Bob’s Burgers has a tradition of getting bands to cover the zany originals sung on the show. Artists like St. Vincent and Stephin Merrit have both had a hand at it, but the National have taken a crack at it a few times (including the highly revered Thanksgiving song).

To celebrate the show’s 100th episode (yay, happy syndication!), The National returns and brings along Låpsley for a rendition of season 6 oddity ‘Bad Stuff Happens In The Bathroom’.

As in the past, the bleak dourness of The National makes a hilarious counterpoint to the subject matter of the song. Låpsley takes their cue and plays it just as straight. Watch it below.
