Donald Trump has pissed off yet another musical act.
Earth, Wind & Fire have criticised Donald Trump for using their music to soundtrack day two of the Republican National Convention without their authorisation.
As Billboard reports, the Republican Party house band, who yesterday destroyed a David Bowie classic, performed a version of the group’s 1996 track ‘September’ at the political gathering in Cleveland.
The legendary funk and soul group, whose founder Maurice White died in February at 74, retweeted Queen yesterday (July 19), who had also slammed the RNC for “unauthorised use” of their song ‘We Are The Champions’.
Trump’s relationship with musicians has been rocky to say the least. Earth Wind & Fire are the latest in a long line of artists who have called the Republican party leader out for unauthorised use of his music, including Adele and House of Pain.
Trump was formally nominated as the party’s presidential nominee last night amid much drama. As well as accusations of plagiarism levelled at his wife Melania, Prophets of Rage performed a guerrilla protest gig in a park near the venue.
