Appleblim offers up his third Tempa 12″.
Bristol’s Laurie Osbourne (aka Appleblim) was been a crucial cog in the dubstep machine – releasing a number of essential plates on the Skull Disco label (alongside Shackleton) and establishing the excellent Apple Pips imprint. In recent years he’s moved towards Tempa, and his third 12″ for the label – entitled ‘Minus Degree’ – might be his best yet.
Opener ‘Minus Degree’ is a lush, tension-drenched, ambient piece, but the following two tracks – ‘Move Them’ and ‘Twist It Down’ – return to the blend of dub techno tropes and rolling subs that Osbourne is notorious for.
You can hear ‘Twist it Down’ in full below, and ‘Minus Degree’ is due for release on August 5th via Rinse. Pre-order the 12″ from Bleep.
