St. Vincent made a surprise appearance at the end of the band’s set.

The National and St. Vincent performed a new collaboration at LA’s Greek Theatre last night (July 28).

St. Vincent, aka Annie Clark,  joined the band on stage at the start of the encore to sing vocals on new National track ‘Prom Song 13th Century (Frankie and Johnny)’. It’s not known yet whether the song will be featured on The National’s forthcoming album, which they are currently working on, but the artists have collaborated before, with Clark guesting on The National’s most recent LP, Trouble Will Find Me. Watch clips of last night’s performance below.

Earlier this month, The National were transformed into Bob’s Burgers characters and performed season 6 track ‘Bad Stuff Happens In The Bathroom’ for the show.
