M.I.A. has announced the next single from AIM is a track called ‘Bird Song’ produced by Diplo. Despite the fact that the two squashed their beef last year around the 10th anniversary of her star-making full-length Arular, this still comes as a surprise. We’ll hear the full fruits of their newly-found friendship on August 12.
M.I.A. recently took MTV to task for not nominating her ‘Borders’ video for a VMA. “This is a perfect example of ‘allowed’ voice vs excluded voices,” she wrote on Twitter.
AIM is slated for release on September 9.
