OG Maco has lost his right eye in a serious car accident. The ATL rapper was involved in a near-fatal crash last week that left him with several non-life-threatening injuries, including heart palpitations, multiple skull fractures and cracked vertebrae.

Maco has yet to share when or where the accident took place, but in a series of tweets has explained that he was due to have surgery the following week and later posted a picture of himself wearing an eye patch.

However, following surgery yesterday (August 3), Maco revealed that he has lost his right eye. “Y’all bastards had all these jokes like I really didn’t lose a eye real quick. I don’t mind,” he writes. “Just remember I never did a thing to you. To see a world where the do-ers and dreamers are ridiculed more than losers and conformity is so worse than missing an eye.” Despite his injuries, Maco is sounding positive. “I feel ALIVE!!!” he told fans on Twitter, adding “Thank God I ain’t too cool for that safe belt.”
