LCD Soundsystem have reportedly cancelled a tour of Asia and Australia to work on their new album.
The recently-reunited New York band, who this March played their first show in five years, were scheduled to kick off the tour with a performance at Hong Kong’s Clockenflap Festival in November. However, a statement posted to the festival’s Facebook page says that the group have had to cancel their appearance, along with their Asian & Australian tour, which had yet to be announced, due to “studio scheduling conflicts related to their new album.”
Back in January, Murphy wrote a lengthy statement to fans on the LCD Soundsystem website, confirming that the band are currently recording a new album to be released later this year.
LCD Soundsystem have yet to respond to the reported cancellation but FACT has approached the band for comment.
