Can we expect a solo album from the former Rage Against The Machine frontman?
Former Rage Against The Machine frontman Zack de la Rocha has just released a solo track called ‘Digging For Windows’, produced by Run The Jewels member El-P.
The track – which also features Matt Sweeney on guitar and Nick Hook on keys – follows ‘Close Your Eyes (And Count To Fuck)’ from 2014’s Run The Jewels 2. The track is being given away free on SoundCloud.
There’s no indication if the single signals a forthcoming album, but the Rage Against The Machine vocalist has been working on aborted solo LPs for much of the past two decades.
In a 2011 interview, Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails revealed that he’d produced solo sessions for de la Rocha that he said would probably not be released as it sounded “too much like Rage.”
