The British hard rock icon gets a fitting tribute.

Back in February, we reported that a fan-funded campaign to immortalize the late Motorhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister with a bronze statue was underway. It raised nearly $23,000 and the tribute was unveiled at the icon’s favorite haunt Rainbow Bar and Grill in West Hollywood last month, Consequence of Sound points out.

The statue was constructed by artist Travis Moore – read about his process here, via LA Weekly – and now sits on the patio of the Rainbow. According to Motorhead manager Todd Singerman, there are possible plans for a temporary Lemmy Lounge at the dive, as well.
