Feel the raw power.

The first trailer for acclaimed director Jim Jarmusch’s Gimme Danger, a documentary about the Stooges, is out now, a month before the film’s release. It debuted in May at Cannes Film Festival and screened earlier this month at the Toronto Film Festival to great reviews.

Gimme Danger gives an exhaustive history of the Stooges, who still manage to be underrated, despite Iggy Pop’s icon status. Although there is only limited live footage of the band’s early days in the film, this is a punk history nerd’s bounty, to be sure.
